Aurora Borealis 2024 May 11 2024. Increased solar activity causes auroras that dance around earth's poles, known as the northern lights, or aurora borealis, and southern lights, or aurora australis. Huge coronal mass ejection on may 9th led to this spectacular light show.

These are the nights with darkness in them. On the night from 10 to 11 may 2024, an aurora borealis, or northern lights, was visible even from switzerland.
